1. 2019’s most popular Amazon Purchases mapped across London.

PCG were interested to see whether this map reflected their amazon habits - whose 2019 shopping list included sticky notes, 18-packs of Diet Coke, protein bars and Michelle Obama’s autobiography? Read more here.

 

 

2. L’Oreal launches intelligent personalised skincare

L’Oreal’s Perso undertakes an artificial intelligence analysis of user’s skin to provide a unique skincare product. Find out more here.

 

3. London’s newest place to stay is a cheese lover’s dream

Between the 29th of January and 6th of February the world’s first cheese-themed hotel with a cheese hotline will be coming to London. Read more here.

 

4. A new holiday: National use your gift card day

National Gift Card day will be launched on the 18th of January. Looks like this is taking off in the US, sure it’s something we can all benefit from. Remember to spend those gift cards! Read more here.

Veganuary’s influence is stronger than ever

6 years since Veganuary launched caterers are becoming increasingly adventurous with their Vegan options. This article will definitely help the members of PCG giving it a go get through January.

 

6. M&S venture into the world of Athleisure and sportswear

Their new affordable and stylish collection, Goodmove is perfect for all those January workouts! PCG have being trying our best lets see how “active” we are by February. Read more here.

 

7. Selfridges is sliding into the new decade with a new coffee shop

Selfridges has opened a new coffee shop with a giant yellow slide, ethically sourced coffee and cups and provides jobs to help ex-offenders in the Thames Valley. We’re interested to see how this new attraction goes down with Selfridges shoppers. We’d definitely love to give it a go! Read more here.

 

 

8. Alcohol Free Bar timed to perfection with Dry January

This sounds like a really interesting and inclusive idea, especially at this time of year. Not sure how well Karaoke would go down in PCG without a bit of Dutch Courage. Read more.

 

9. Online returns peaked at 72% on the day coined “Take Back Thursday”

The growth of online shopping means returns are higher than ever with shoppers unable to “touch and feel” their purchases emphasising the evolving but clearly significant role of bricks and mortar. Read more here.

 

10. Ikea breaking into inner city market with their new mixed use approach

Interesting to see Ikea moving away from their traditional out of town approach.  We’ll no longer have to travel far to get some of their renound meatballs!
