IBLE Technical Account Lead

As part of our growth strategy, we are looking for a Technical Account Lead to join the area of our business we call IBLE – Immigration, Borders and Law Enforcement.

Due to the industries we work in, we require all our team to be able to obtain security clearance. To qualify for this, you must be a British passport holder and have lived permanently in the UK for the last 5 years.

The Role:

The IBLE area forms one of our four Business Streams within IIG (Information Intelligence Group). Based on our excellent track record, and growing market share in adjacent markets such as National Security, Defence and Cyber, we have set ambitious but achievable targets for significant growth.

Building on our highly successful technical reputation, and established relationships within the Home Office, other government agencies and suppliers, your focus as the Technical Account Lead is to understand the customers mission and the technology pathway which will result in the delivery of it. Through working closely with your counterparts within customers, we would expect you to grow the IIG influence and generally broaden the IIG footprint within IBLE

What you will be doing:

This role will be focussed on the continued success of our IBLE business stream and specifically creating a technical strategy focussed on the Home Office and related government agencies, as well as maintaining and developing relationships with key technical stakeholders within customers and suppliers. You will be responsible for understanding the customer’s mission and their technical challenges within the IBLE customer base. You will also work closely with the rest of the IBLE Management Team to deliver on the strategy for the IBLE business area specifically contributing to the technical direction. Your responsibilities will include:

  • Full Software Lifecycle involvement: project concept formalisation; requirements analysis and specification; software architecture design; software implementation and delivery; software training and support and software lifecycle and maintenance
  • Contemporary software engineering including selection and application of appropriate technology and patterns
  • Creation of an IBLE specific Technical Strategy which forms part of the IBLE Stream Strategy
  • Support the continued Account growth through overall technical leadership across all projects and ensuring high quality of delivery
  • Building senior stakeholder relationships – in the Home Office and selected partner organisations, acting as a strategic and trusted technical partner
  • Horizon scanning the Home Office and UK government future technology landscape and formulating training, research, and development strategies alongside the Technical Leadership team
  • Working with the MooD team to support their expansion in to the IBLE customer base, informing them of new software features, in line with our offerings, that reflect a deep understanding of the domain and client needs
  • Working closely with the Stream Management Team to take an analytical approach with customers to determine the best technical solution to meet their objectives
  • Working closely with the Technical Leadership Team to develop propositions to take to market, in line with our offerings, that reflect a deep understanding of the domain and client needs
  • Liaising with Head of Delivery to ensure proper management and delivery of projects under the account

The Fit:

As the Technical Account Lead within the IBLE Business Stream, we expect you to develop a sound understanding of our customer’s technical missions and the challenges they are looking to overcome. You will ideally have;

  • Passion for emerging technologies and delivery best-practice
  • Led the implementation of complex software solutions including architecture, design, development and testing using a wide range of technologies
  • Highly competent in using tools such as GitLab which help monitor and ensure software quality and security
  • Experience in deploying complex software systems to a mixture of environments
  • Developing and maintaining long-term relationships with key technical stakeholders and championing their requirements within IIG
  • Leading the technical solution of bids and drafting content as required
  • Supporting the management of customer relationships ensuring we meet client goals while achieving company commercial objectives
  • Previous experience in a Senior Technical Leadership role with Home Office experience
