Analysis of the potential economic impact of GDPR

CACI work with London Economics to decipher the implications of the ICO's Draft Guidelines on Consent

On 25 May 2018 the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) will replace the UK Data Protection Act (1998), introducing new obligations and modifying existing requirements, including those around consent.

This is a welcomed update of legislation, providing a ripe opportunity for organisations to develop relationships with their customers; with trust, transparency and integrity.

As we prepare for these changes, it is vital that there is clarity around the rules under which organisations will operate, including the standard of consent.

This study, prepared by London Economics with the support of CACI, examines the potential economic impact of the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR), in light of the implications of the ICO’s draft guidelines on consent.
