About the Role 

The role of the sales consultant, reports into the Data Solutions Sales Manager and will have the objective to develop new business wins within a number of sectors for our range of solutions, products and services that include:  Consumer data and segmentations analytics and modelling including machine learning techniques/big data tools, insight, reporting and visualisation, forecasting software, analytics software and consultancy.

The role will typically be working with mid/senior level contacts to understand their business challenges, specific objectives and identify pain points and therefore advise on a solution or products that drives value for their organisation.  You will have a high energy, solutions selling approach and have proven experience of selling from £25,000+.

Key Requirements 

The ideal candidate will have sales experience, preferably in a marketing services business. The individual must possess/be:

  • A natural results driven style
  • Must be able to pick up the phone and have the confidence to speak to a range of levels of seniorities
  • High levels of motivation – the will and drive to succeed
  • Be goal driven and focused on achieving specific KPIs to ensure success (meeting levels)

  • We expect the successful candidate to create and maintain quarterly and annual plans and to generate a significant pipeline to hit their targets, facilitating experts as and when needed.
     

About You

  • The candidate must be able to demonstrate a track record in client support, consultancy, new business development and/or hitting targets 
  • Demonstrable business development experience 
  • Has used and is familiar with CRM technology as a fundamental part of the sales role   
  • Has experience with a variety of sectors
  • Has awareness of data solutions, geodemographics, analytics and segmentation solutions

  • Financial services segmentation solution for customer insight and analysis
  • Postcode level data (Acorn) for an insurance company in pricing models
  • Development of a bespoke segmentation solution around needs and attitudes to a theatre group
  • Production of Personas to support proposition and actioning customer segments within a leisure group (and for supporting future contact strategies/targeting).
