React and Java Developer - Senior Consultant II Grade

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

The successful applicant will take on a significant role supporting the senior development leads and the technical architect. We are looking for an applicant with extensive commercial experience in the relevant technologies, who can use that knowledge to inform the system design and development and support the implementation of the solutions onsite through live running.

Key Responsibilities

  • Full end to end development on a business-critical application written in React
  • Being a technical voice in the decision-making process, liaising with clients
  • Working alongside Server-side development team to deliver the Tech Stack for the project
  • Being a strong team player, mentoring junior staff when needed and researching into new Tech

Core skills, knowledge, experience required

  • Extensive React Skills 2yrs+
  • Extensive UI styling (Bootstrap, Material)
  • Experience of UI Testing (Jest, Jasmine)
  • Experience in Open Source frameworks/Tools
  • Experience with CI/CD tools such as Jenkins, SonarQube
  • Experience with REST tools such as swagger, OpenAPI
  • Experience with Babel, Webpack
  • Experience with Testing tools such as Selenium, Cucumber
  • Experience with GIT
  • Experience with Typescript                                   

Desirable skills and experience
AngularJS
Familiarity with Java / Spring
Familiarity with Unix/Linux environments
Databases (PostgreSQL, SQL Server, Oracle)
Object-Oriented Skills & Design Patterns
OCR/IC

ABOUT THE BUSINESS DIVISION

We are currently recruiting for a number of roles, to work within the core team on the Republic of Ireland National Census project. CACI are shortly commencing work on this high profile, multi-million euro project to run up to the end of 2021. This complex 2+ year project offers a hugely exciting opportunity to work fulltime through the end to end lifecycle of the project from initial design, development and implementation, through live running to the final completion. The successful candidates will join our dedicated core team, working primarily within the Birmingham office up to the end of 2020, then transitioning full time to customer site near Dublin in 2021 (Monday to Friday). All onsite expenses and accommodation will be paid for the duration.
CACI have successfully delivered the last 4 Irish Censuses. The Census Processing System uses multiple technologies including Java, React, PostgreSQL, Elasticsearch, NiFi, Kibana, Logstash, on a Linux environment. All the successful candidates require a positive, can-do attitude, and a strong team ethic. The project requires an enormous amount of personal commitment, flexibility and additional hours, with the need for travel and significant on customer site presence.  It offers a fantastic opportunity to get involved end to end in a fascinating, high profile project, working with a dedicated, experienced team.
