1. Four new international brands to open stores in Carnaby

2. The surge in January retail sales bring figures back up from December, and above analysts’ expectations

Year-on-year sales grew by 4.2% after the decline in December, which is the biggest annual increase since December 2016.

The talent programme ‘Liberty Discovers’ allows aspiring designers access to the products and fabric design studios in the flagship London store.

9. Britain’s biggest sports retailer, JD Sports, has acquired an 8.3% stake in Footasylum

The rival retailer will continue to focus on delivering a product-led, multi-channel proposition, after shares increased more than 80%.

10. UK housing affordability is improving at the fastest rate in 8 years

Whilst the average wage grew by just over 3%, the average house price grew by only 0.2%.

PCG Loves: Rooftop homes

In a bid to tackle London’s housing shortage, a large number of rooftop homes are being built across five existing sites across the city set to be opened this summer. Homes England will assist the government on delivering the plan to build 300,000 new homes by mid-2020’s and have injected £9m into the scheme.
