1. Sainsbury’s new Pet Hub will provide mince pies for dogs as part of a wider pet-driven initiative.

We think this is a great way to get even your four-legged member of the family involved this Christmas. Read more here.

 

 

2. In the run up to Christmas the Co-op are hoping to open 30 new stores in locations including Cambridge, Gravesend and Bristol.

CACI research has found that in 2019, shopping destinations that house a small, medium or large supermarket generated 43% more annual visits from shoppers than those without. Read more here.

 

3. Fortress Investment Group have bought Majestic Wines with plans of ambitious growth in new areas.

Under their previous owners, there were drastic plans to close over 100 of their stores, however after its sale at a striking £95m, there’s been a U-turn with new ambitious plans to open their first new store in two years, in Blackheath, South London. Read more here.

 

4. Canada Goose have re-created arctic conditions with their experiential snowstorm experience in a store in Toronto.

Temperatures in the room, which will play original films about the cold will be projected on each wall, and each room can range from -12 degrees Celsius to -20.

5. Instagram have partnered with Selfridges giving a bricks and mortar presence to 8 curated brands who have a strong presence on the app.

The pop-up shop will be in-store for limited time only, brining to life the beloved brands that were born on Instagram. Find out more here.

 

LEGO

This is the dream Christmas present for all kids (and grown-ups), you can buy the exact replica of your own home in Lego form.

 

 

6. Traditional luxury brands are investing in high-end fashion such as iconic brands Supreme, which after opening their own skate store in New York has been valued over $1bn.

7. H&M in The Netherlands are trialling a next day bicycle delivery service in a pledge to become more climate positive.

Online orders will be collected from H&M warehouses first in biogas vehicles, which emit 60-80 per cent less CO2 than regular cars, then via bicycle from local hubs in 30 Dutch cities

8. Take a look inside the new 700sq ft Fortnum and Mason store in Hong Kong, also including a including a fresh food hall selling salmon, cheese and caviar with a stunning view of the city.

This is exciting to see the iconic British brand open its first store overseas.

 

 

New York in Covent Garden?

Tiffany’s has transformed one of London’s most historic tourist shopping destinations into a Christmas Fairy-tale scene from the Big Apple. Throughout December, the brand will pump their famous floral ‘Tiffany Fragrance’ through the air for shoppers to enjoy.
