CACI accelerates telecommunications compliance results
CACI selected as partner for the SenSage / EMC EU Data Retention Directive product
CACI today announces its status as a European solution partner for the joint SenSage/EMC package, which supports telecommunication providers’ compliance to the EU Data Retention Directive. The combined event data and storage management product (launched earlier this month by SenSage and EMC) enables Telcos and ISPs to cost-effectively aggregate, retain and analyse terabytes and years of telephone and Internet transaction data according to Directive guidelines.
CACI (a leader in providing services to the telecommunications market) has designed assessment, implementation and maintenance services around the joint package that accelerates the ability to meet Directive requisites.
The integrated solution has been developed in response to law enforcement and anti-terrorism demands placed on telco service providers, as well as the associated cost of complying with data management requisites.
The new regulations make it compulsory to store the details of all telephone calls, SMS messages, emails, proxy server logs and DHCP Assignment logs for between six and 24 months. Query results to authorised inquiries must also be produced “without undue delay”. This equates to terabytes of transaction data that must be appropriately acquired, protected, managed and assessed. Compliance with these rules becomes a legal requirement for telco providers by the end of 2007.
As a trusted authority within this market, CACI is well placed to convey the benefits of the Telco Compliance solution to telco companies across the UK and Europe. CACI has been providing IT consultancy to the telecoms industry for over 15 years, working with household names such as British Telecom, Cable and Wireless and O2.
Through this partnership, CACI will provide expert product and consultancy services that best leverage the Telco Compliance solution’s cost-effective approach to management and storage of data.
The CACI Telco Compliance solution, featuring SenSage and EMC, provides the following benefits:
| Captures all CDR and log records from relevant sources | |
| Securely stores years of data online with immediate access to all records | |
| Provides full data analysis – fast, accurate extraction of the records of interest | |
| Offers exceptional event data loading and querying performance | |

said Aurore Pettitt, Director, CACI.
