Public Sector Account Manager

Key responsibilities

We are looking to add to our sales and account management team based in Kensington Village, London with an experienced Public Sector Account Manager.This role requires an individual who is familiar with how the public sector works including procurement processes and is capable of growing an account. In addition, experience of successfully working in an IT sales environment, selling software products and cloud solutions, systems integration or managed service solutions is vital. The successful candidate will be expected to manage existing customers, grow revenue from existing customers and develop new business.
 
The role includes:
  • Sales pipeline development
  • Customer facing sales meetings
  • Account management meetings
  • Bid and proposal writing
  • Solution pricing and management of commercial aspects
 
This is a full time role with an immediate start required, reporting to the Sales Director.
 
The role is customer facing and will require travel within the UK.
 

Core skills, knowledge, experience required

Areas of experience which are essential for this role:
  • Account Management Experience
  • Experience selling into Public Sector central government
  • Experience in selling software services
  • Can identify key Public and Private Cloud providers and articulate their value
  • Must have proven experience in sales
  • Team player
  • Self-reliant
 

Desirable skills and experience

  • Experience in selling managed services
  • Worked within a custom design (bespoke) software organisation
  • Experience of selling Application Management and Support
  • Experience of selling to local authorities, charities, education or health
  • Experience of selling Consulting services
  • Experience of selling into Home Office , Police, Ministry of Justice and ALBs
  • AWS, Azure, UKCloud, Sungard, Rackspace Hosting platforms.
  • Adobe and Drupal Content Management Systems
