Junior Software Developer

Key responsibilities

Excellent opportunity for a junior software developer to join the Technology department’s application development team, supporting the Technology department using various coding technologies and systems.

We are looking for candidates with good communication skills, relationship building skills and the drive to keep up with the fast pace of technological change.

You will be supporting and developing the department’s custom-built operational systems, as well as the companies cloud platforms, NetSuite and SharePoint Online.

You will be involved with the broad range of Microsoft applications and services, and will also engage with various departments to plan and facilitate their move to new technologies.


Core skills, knowledge, experience required

Essential Skills

  • Strong skills in OO development using C#
  • Exposure to SharePoint Online
  • Design and develop web front-end user interfaces using HTML, CSS and JavaScript
  • Good knowledge of jQuery
  • Use of frameworks to development projects where applicable
  • Participate in development activities and deliverables where applicable
  • Ability and willingness to learn and pick up new technologies
  • Ability to discuss requirements, design and implementation at various levels, ranging from technical to non-technical stakeholders


Desirable skills

  • Knowledge/experience of Angular (JS or 2+)
  • Familiarity with developing SharePoint online applications (2013 or later)
  • Use of XAML in C#
  • SQL (the ability to write SQL and create stored procedures)
  • Understanding of design patterns
  • Understanding of the REST service
  • Experience in scoping and estimating delivery efforts
  • Have enthusiasm and commitment to delivering quality results to tight deadlines
