CACI's Environmental Policy

CACI is committed to minimising the impact of its day-to-day business on the environment. We do this in a number of ways.

  • We comply with all current legislation on environmental issues.

  • We ensure we minimise waste and recycle waste materials. The disposal of waste materials is done in a safe manner to minimise any possible pollution of the environment.

  • Where appropriate, energy management systems are installed to minimise our energy consumption.

  • We minimise the environmental impact of business and commuting travel through various initiatives.

  • We encourage the implementation of sound environmental practices throughout the company.

  • We have appointed an environmental officer with specific responsibilities to communicate our environmental policy to employees and to encourage best practice.

  • We will review our environmental policy at least annually to ensure a process of continual improvement.

CACI is committed to benchmarking its energy usage, and looking for opportunities to improve. One of the forms of energy consumption that is easiest for us to address is the use of electricity and gas in the offices we occupy. Published in the download section is a summary of usage in offices where we have direct responsibility for the energy costs. Going forward, we will move to systematically reporting monthly usage.

There are many variables that impact levels of energy usage, not just the weather. We are looking to set realistic goals that can take account of these, and these will be published soon. Employees who identify any opportunities for energy saving are encouraged to contact the Facilities Manager with their ideas.
