Leicester City Council required consultancy advice to identify the direction for the city's retail circuit. CACI's approach to the study was to combine a series of consultations with key stakeholders with insightful baseline data-analysis and impact modelling of future scenarios.

Leicester's current market performance was assessed in relation to a qualitative assessment of its shopper demographics against its current retail mix. Relevant benchmarks were used to identify gaps in Leicester's retail offer.

Employing micro-modelling techniques, the current and future predicted performance of Leicester City was analysed. This revealed the micro-impacts of the redevelopment of The Highcross Quarter, assisting the council to identify areas that will undergo change.

We have used CACI for the past seven years on all our schemes to confirm that we are offering consumers the most appropriate mix of retailers, leisure and services. Their techniques and expertise are equally pertinent from planning through to asset management.
