IMPULSE delivers a number of specialist modules:

Central Pupil Database - Provides a central database, which is built around a single pupil record. The core provides comprehensive address, persons, establishment and role management to aid specific business processes, whilst comprehensive data management tools exist to aid the automatic flow of data from schools and other third party solutions.


Special Education Needs - Manages the SEN cycle including statements, financial recoupment, finance & tracking, transport, pre-school, educational psychology and statutory returns such as SEN2.


Admissions & Transfers - Provides a management tool for the school admissions process covering fast entry, e-Admissions, schools allocation and specific data management tools.

Social Inclusion - A comprehensive case management system specifically designed for Education Welfare teams this module manages referrals, attendance, exclusions, LAC, courts, minorities, children in entertainment, chaperones and children in employment. Specific peripatetic applications also exist, including Pupil Watch.


Early Years - Ensures that pre school children are catered for and incorporates day-care, education, grants, training, and recruitment.


Educational Achievement - Stores and compares pupil results.


Welfare Benefits - Includes free school meals, uniform grants and travel grants.

School Development - Manages the provision for Governor's support, professional development and visit recording.
