CACI strengthens European presence with merger
New company will drive forward higher education expertise
29th May 2012, London - Following last year's acquisition of Chronotech BV, CACI has acquired higher education software specialists PSB Informatiesystemen BV (PSB), which provides the market-leading student information system, OSIRIS, to universities and other higher education organisations in the Netherlands.
PSB and Chronotech will be merged together and trade as CACI BV, drawing on the capabilities of both companies to become the premier provider of software and IT services to the Dutch higher education sector. CACI BV will be managed by the current PSB and Chronotech management teams and will, in addition to providing OSIRIS and supporting Studielink, develop integrated case management solutions for higher education establishments.
Greg Bradford, chief executive of CACI Europe, comments:
"Higher education is a key sector for CACI, and this latest strategic acquisition puts us in an excellent position to expand our customer base in the Netherlands.
"CACI thrives on dynamic growth, coupled with new expertise and thinking. By acquiring PSB, we not only strengthen our offering in The Netherlands but add considerable weight to our portfolio of services across Europe."
Gert Simons and Kees van Nimwegen, are the two former principal owners of PSB. Gert Simons said:
"By becoming part of CACI, we will have access to their wider products, services and knowledge, enabling us to continue to provide innovation and flexibility to our clients. By being part of a larger global organisation, PSB has the ideal platform to take OSIRIS to a wider market. We are also excited that CACI will enable us to extend current OSIRIS functionality with integrated case management, a powerful innovation in the higher education market."
