Lincolnshire County Council awards IT contract to CACI
The Council's Adult Care Services will use CACI's award-winning technology to support field-based workers and improve care quality
08.06.10 - Lincolnshire County Council has selected a care management software solution from CACI to provide the Council's Adult Care Services, including Home Support and Learning Disability Community Support services, with automated homecare rostering, mobile working and payroll functionality.
Based on CACI's OfficeBase and inTOUCH technology, the solution will enable 650 home support workers, co-ordinators and management to work more efficiently, giving them more time to focus on care quality for service users.
The solution works on hand held devices and supports home support workers in the field by removing paper, improving lone worker safety and effectively monitoring attendance and service user outcomes.
The solution will be live from August 2010.
Commenting on the project, David Clarke, ICT Workstream Manager at Lincolnshire County Council said, "Our current paper based methods are proving increasingly labour intensive with coordinators currently spending over 80% of their time on administrative activities. This is valuable time that could be spent improving the outcomes of our service users. The dramatic reduction of administrative burden possible from introducing the CACI solution made it a clear winner for us."
