Data Analyst

The Customer Solutions Group has a team of specialist technical and sales consultants providing marketing services across all industry sectors using CACI specific products (for example ACORN) using Ocean (CACI's Electoral Roll-based UK consumer database).

The position is within the technical team, a team of nine staff based in London, using a mix of skills to deliver marketing solutions including:

  • Name and address data for prospecting
  • Data cleaning and matching services
  • Data analysis including univariate and multivariate techniques
  • Consumer database profiling services
  • Data enhancement tools
  • Segmentation, modelling and analysis consultancy
  • Appending email addresses to customer databases
  • Database hosting
  • Web analytics

The Role

As the role is one of growth we would expect the successful candidate to continuously develop it, as well as deliver projects within tight deadlines while maintaining CACI's high standards.

A major part of the role will be to run targeted marketing campaigns including telephone, mail and email channels to the specifications of one of CACI's key clients from their marketing database. You will be required to provide monthly reports, work closely with the client, and look to provide insight to the account.

For other clients, you will deliver jobs ranging from counts and name and address lists in specific geographical areas to providing full data sets measured in the millions.

Additionally, experience in Web Analytics would be advantageous, with knowledge of Omniture, WebTrends and Google Analytics being particularly beneficial.

You will be reactive and proactive in equal measures, and have the ability to assimilate information quickly. A logical approach to problem solving and an awareness of data will be key to the success of this role.

The tools used to deliver project work include, but are not limited to:

  • SAS, running under UNIX
  • InSite, CACI's GIS software, running under Windows
  • CACI's in-house tools for querying, analysing and joining large databases such as the Electoral Roll and PAF
  • Oracle, SQL
  • Microsoft Access, Excel
  • Alterian
  • Omniture

All CACI staff members are actively encouraged to grow and improve their skills with wide-ranging training programs for technical, management and sales core skills.

The Person

The successful candidate will demonstrate the following attributes:

  • 1-2 years' experience within the data industry
  • Educated to at least degree level (Geography, Maths, IT, Statistics, Engineering)
  • Understanding and experience of using SAS (BASE, STAT and MACRO)
  • An eye for detail and quality
  • Well developed numeracy skills and an aptitude for problem solving
  • Good multi tasking, prioritising, organisational and planning skills
  • Excellent communication skills, internally and externally
  • Knowledge of the geography of the United Kingdom
